A boutique agency for distinctive voices and expansive creative careers.
Alexandria Kominsky is the founder of AKA, a boutique literary agency representing distinctive voices across publishing, media, and culture. She works closely with writers, creators, and public-facing talent to shape compelling narratives and position projects for the right publishing partners and audiences. Her lifelong love for books has been her guiding star. Alexandria (also known as Ali) dreamt up AKA to help bring books into the world that will ignite and inspire readers.
Prior to launching AKA, she served as Head of Business Development at House of Story and lead agent at Dupree/Miller & Associates, where she collaborated on publishing projects with authors including Cicely Tyson, Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, Jeezy, Kevin Nealon, 2Chainz, Jeremiah Brent, and Nate Berkus.
Known for her hands-on editorial approach, she works closely with clients to develop their book ideas into manuscripts, develop cohesive high performance publishing strategies designed for long-term success and into a successful brand.
Alexandria grew up in West Virginia and studied English Literature at Vanderbilt University. She is a Bookseller at Interabang books and spends her time reading, watching movies, practicing yoga and meditation, and taking long walks with her beloved Scottish terrier, Elsa.
